Touch-Plate Classic Series Lighting Controls
Note that Touch Plate's white finishes vary.
The off-white Classic switches aren't as bright as the stark white Ultra series switches.
White Classic control stations are a match to the Genesis & 5000 series.
Popular Touch-Plate Low Voltage Classic switch stations have a great modern design with their sleek 1/2" button caps. They're available in various one, two or three gang sizes to control 4, 6, 8, 12 and 18 lights.
Classic series switches are also available with optional LED lights for low voltage systems that have existing pilot light wiring. The voltage range for the Classic LEDs is 10-24 VDC. Classic series control units use a shared common wire terminal.
Choose the lighted version if you would like to know when lights are still on in another part of your home (on button light illuminated).
Classic series units protrude 5/16" from the wall & recess 10/16" inward.
Older versions featured red button that lit up. These vintage Classic line switches are no longer available.
Replace them with newer Classic series switches with green LEDs.
If you currently do not have pilot lighted switches, you would need to upgrade your panel AND have the extra wires in the wall to carry the power to the LED's.
A single wall plate with 3 Rencom light switches gets updated with a 6-button Classic from Touch Plate.
You must double the number of old switches because when wired into your system, the Touch Plate unit has separate ON and OFF buttons. Add these wiring instructions to your cart for help with your upgrade from Remcon to Touch Plate switches.
Do not buy Classic units with LED lights for a Remcon system - they will not work.
The 4 button classic touch plate unit is what you need if you are replacing a discontinued GE, Remcon, or Bryant brand plate with 2 switches. For every single switch you have in a Remcon, Bryant or GE low voltage system, you will need 2 Touch Plate buttons - 1 serves as an "on" button and the other as an "off" button (corresponds to each end of your old rocker switches - when rocked, one side was on, the other was off).
