Stack rings as needed to create a custom depth.

    Extender

The extender worked well and looks decent. I needed to put two together to fill in the gap, so it was a little tricky to keep both extenders in place while tightening the screws in the switch plate. I was a little disappointed that the extenders were not as big as the switch plate I had.
STAFF: The extenders are designed to exactly align with the edges our plates (which are traditional standard). If using with other plates, we recommend measuring to confirm the dimensions. Many brands have slightly custom dimensions - slightly tall, slightly midsize, snap-on, rounded corners, etc. To keep stacked rings together we recommend tacking with a bit of caulking or electrical tape along the inner edge. We stock 2-gang metal plates in a wide variety of configurations and finishes that will align with these rings if needed.

Another Perfect, Hard to Find Solution by Kyle

OMG - OMG - OMG! Kyle comes thru again! Had a new work outlet box installed by my home's previous owner with a pair of toggle switches leading out to the backyard. I replaced the old switches with Decoras, and discovered that the extra bracketry with the Decoras would not allow the stock wall plates to sit flush against the wall. I was thinking of everything (probably "over-thinking"), from foam gaskets, custom cuts of sheet plastic, to even 3D printing something to fix the gap up to "pro-look" standards. I had hit up Kyle previously and purchased another hard-to-find three-gang unique config wall plate, so decided to look again, and found exactly (this spacer item) what I was looking for. Thanks again Kyle!

    Filled a Gap Perfectly

I had to replace a dimmer switch with one whose wires would not fit as neatly into the box as the original so I had a gap between the plate and sheetrock that drove me crazy every time I looked at the side of the fixture. It was at eye level on the kitchen backsplash. I bought the pack of two but, because I was able to tighten up one corner of the outlet box a bit closer to the wall, I needed only one to fill the gap resulting in a very professional look. The other will be handy if any of my other 2-gang switches ever need sprucing up. I like being a "do-it-yourselfer" whenever possible. I figure I saved at least $70 replacing the switch and using the extender took all of about 4 minutes and looks so much better than beading messy caulk around the switch plate.
