I have a few outlet boxes that protrude from the wall, making a regular outlet cover useless due to a gap between the edge of the cover plate and the wall. This "deep" plate is the only thing I have found that works for my situation. The usage of the outlet mounting screws to attach to the box through the cover makes the fit snug.
It was a bit narrower than expected, but wide enough to cover drywall cutout for the metal gang box which was too firmly secured to adjust and could not be trimmed back.
I liked that the cover plate screwed through the actual device into the gang box so I could pull the plate tight towards the wall where normally I'd had a nasty gap. I also liked the clean white enamel finish. Looks very durable.
Great choice for this kind of problem. Shipping cost was a big high, however, for such a small item which could have been slipped into a padded envelope.
