1 Decora Rocker Switch Covers 2-Gang Center Mount

Great product! A little more expensive than other options, but it's well worth the difference.

I originally went the cheap route with a plastic plate available at most big box stores. It wasn't what I wanted (2 gang with a blank side) and looked terrible, was too shallow for the switch, and the corner fell off as I was trying to align it!

I found this plate online and am completely satisfied. Swift shipping, high quality stamped metal (without the commercial look I was worried about), and fit perfectly with room for adjustments. Highly recommended!

The previous owner made some "interesting" choices in my 80 year old house. When I went to replace a light switch with a WEMO dimmer, I found the 2 gang switch plate was actually covering a one gang setup but in a junction box instead of a standard box.

The WEMO wouldn't fit the two gang extender because of the flanges on the sides of the junction box. I was looking at ripping the junction box out of the wall and rebuilding the wall. Plus plaster and paint.

Kyles one gang plate let me mount my dimmer without all that trouble.

I had tried to cram a Z-wave switch into one side of the box but, it never fit quite right (also never looked great because I used a blank decora "filler" on the other side). From the on-line description, this plate seemed like it would solve the problem, and it did.

Four stars because it was little pricey ($9 shipping on the $9 item) and on top of that, I had to go out a buy longer white screws because the supplied screws were too short.

But it looks great, and I don't know any other alternatives.

Just replaced a bathroom light/heater/fan than had 4 rockers and a 4"x 4" plate with a new unit that has one column of regular-sized 3 rocker switches. By using this plate, I didn't have to patch the wall.

I needed to buy one package of longer white screws at the hardware store to install this. Also wish I didn't have to pay $7 to ship just one item ... but it was cheaper than driving to Livermore and back!
