1. What are the costs for shipping?
For most orders shipped within the continental US, we offer standard shipping for $6.95 and UPS ground delivery at a low flat rate of $10.95. (Orders over 1 pound or $150 ship via UPS for $6.95.)

For international, Hawaii, Alaska and PO Box addresses, your order will be shipped via USPS.
2. When will I receive my order?
Your order will be processed within 1 to 2 business days with the exception of the holiday season, during which orders may take a little extra time to process. See our shipping page for current order processing and a really handy map that shows the transit times expected for your order based on your location.
3. What is the difference between Standard and UPS?
Standard is a more affordable service that combines USPS and UPS delivery. With Standard, UPS controls the shipping of your package up until the final delivery which is made by the U.S. Postal Service. Standard deliveries usually take between 3-9 business days because the post office may hold the package for a few days until the carriers can schedule the delivery. Regular UPS (Ground, 3 Day, 2 Day, or 1 Day) takes between 1-8 days and is guaranteed. If you are on a deadline, go with UPS.
Important: If selecting Standard, be sure to enter your mailing address for the shipping address otherwise your order will be marked as undeliverable and will be returned to us.
4. Will you charge sales tax on my order?
Sales taxes are charged on all orders delivered within California only. No sales taxes are collected on orders shipped to any other state.
5. Can I cancel, add to or change an order I've already placed?
To add or make changes to your order, contact Customer Service. We will make every attempt to accommodate your request. However, once the order has been sent to processing we are no longer able to make changes or cancel your order.
6. Can I return or exchange my purchase?
Yes. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please use our easy returns form to request a a return authorization number within 30 days of shipment for any unused, eligible* item. Return authorization numbers are valid for 15 days after they are issued so please ship your items promptly. Mail your return to:

7. Is the item I want to order available in stock?
If an item is available for purchase on our website, it is most likely in stock. In the event that an item is unavailable, you will be notified via email with an approximate ship date for your order. We will make every effort to ship your order as soon as possible.
8. Why is my item on backorder?
From time to time there are factory delays at the manufacturer. If one or more items are unavailable to ship immediately, these items are "backordered" and will ship at a later date. You will be provided with an approximate ship date for your order as soon as possible. Please be aware that backorder dates are approximate and subject to change.
9. Do you have a printed Kyle Switch Plates catalog?
We offer thousands of items on our website and maintain it daily to offer the most up-to-date information on the products we offer. Because information and availability changes daily, we do not have a printed Kyle Switch Plates catalog.
10. I installed my switch (outlet, receptacle, dimmer, etc.), but it isn't working.
All electrical devices are certified in good working order by the manufacturer prior to shipping. If you install a device and it is not working properly, you must contact the manufacturer directly to help troubleshoot the problem. Their technical support representatives will walk you through the installation process to determine if the device has been properly installed. (Many devices are quite tricky to install correctly.) This quick and easy check typically resolves the majority of issues. If it is determined that the device was installed correctly, follow the manufacturer's instructions to receive a replacement device. Here is a list of our manufacturers:
11. Do I need a narrow electrical box if I am using a narrow wall plate?
No. The electrical devices still need the same clear space around them inside the electrical box so for this reason narrow electrical boxes are not even manufactured. Typically a narrow switchplate is needed because there are obstructions on the surface of the wall that prevent you from using a full width light switch cover.
12. Are the openings on oversized switchplates larger or standard? Are they smaller on narrow plates?
No. The device openings on switchplates do not change with the size of the plate. The electrical devices are all standard sizes and so the wallplate openings remain standard as well. Only the overall plate dimensions will change. So as long as you match up the device type with the plate opening (duplex with duplex, toggle with toggle, etc.) it won't matter what the overall plate size is (oversized, narrow, short, deep, etc.) they will always fit together.
