Good switch... but with two caveats.

Totally agree with previous review. I believe these are quality switches, though it is very easy to overtighten the terminals to the point where they begin to strip. Other switches I have used in the past do not seem to have this tendency, so beware and on guard against overtightening. I do like the fact that the terminals have a contoured grip plate beneath the screw head; therefore, just as the previous reviewer mentioned, a straight cut stripped wire can easily be slid beneath and then tightened down. (Just not too, too tight!) My main criticism is the pitiful directions. I wired the switch but noticed that the light in the switch toggle was lit no matter if the switch was on or off. That was not my intent nor is that the proper functioning of a "pilot switch". It eventually dawned on me that the "hot" wires coming in and out from the switch had to be reversed. ("Line In" on top; "Out" on bottom is critical.) Now it works as intended, lighting only when the switch is "On" to indicate that power is being supplied to a downstream device or remote light, etc. The wiring diagram that comes on the device is tiny, terribly blurry, very difficult to read, and makes no mention of this. (I bought three switches --- all were equally un-decipherable.) With these points in mind, I think you will be otherwise pleased with this device.

    great quality, poor directions

Pros: Received promptly, works as described, I consider it a quality built switch. Unlike most, you don't have to bend a pig-tail, the screw terminals have a cap allowing a straight cut wire. Most of their switches are color coded making it easy to identify the type of switch.

Cons: Only has a sticker on the back for directions, which due to the fuzziness of the text for Load (LD). The OEM support site has installation directions for everything they make except light Seymour & Pass switches.

How to connect the 4 screw terminals:
    gold - black source/line
gold - white common/neutral before load
    green - GRD ground
silver - white after/parallel/independent of the load

So the gold screw terminals work like a typical single-throw SPST switch. The silver screw terminal by itself on one side is the tricky one if you don't have access to a correct wire.

I only managed once I found official instructions on other forum sites with:
